Have you thanked your PA today?

SecretaryAccording to a press release from OfficeRecruit.com it's National Secretary’s Day today (25th April).  A recent survey by OfficeRecruit.com also "revealed" that:

  • * 58% of PAs would like to be thanked when doing a good job
    * 40% think their contribution to the company could be improved by rewarding and recognising hard work
    * 37% feel that office support staff are overlooked
    * 33% say that their immediate boss recognises their efforts but that this is not shared company wide

So, 42% of PAs don't want to be thanked for doing a good job.  Well they won't want the "flowers, candy, small gifts, or lunch at a restaurant" suggested as a thank you for "one's assistant" by Wikipedia!
