Jobs2View - Video CV database

Six weeks ago I wrote about D7 Recruitment and their video CV database.  I've now had an email from Harry Vlahakis at Jobs2View Ltd asking me to take a look at their site. 

Jobs2View has been running since the beginning of March.  The site is a general job board with built in video technology. Candidates can record a video profile (up to two minutes in length) using a web cam, digital camera, mobile phone etc.   Clients can also record videos to promote their company, services and working environment.

I asked Harry if it would be possible for me to view some candidate videos on the site.  He sent me back a link to Kirsten Tilley's video.  Kirsten registered on the site as an employer offering the job role of "husband". Apparently this isn't the sort of vacancy they'd normally allow on the site but allowed it to stay live as a one-off as Kirsten was happy for them to use it to help publicise the site.  As you will see she's had over 5500 views and 60 applicants so far. 

The site has about 1500 vacancies posted and similar number of candidates registered but only half a dozen have put on a video CV.   Harry says "It may take time for it to become the norm for candidates to record a Video Profile but I see becoming part of looking for a job eventually".  When the big players like Monster and Fish4 introduce the facility to record and attach a video CV we'll know it's really taken off.
