Keeping your business partners sweet

Wafelen_2I got a really thoughtful gift through the post on Friday. Actually, it all started a couple of weeks ago. I had a meeting with Rob Steed at consultingtools and when we set up the meeting he promised me coffee and a Danish pastry. As I was driving back to the office from the meeting I realised he'd somehow managed to avoid buying me any cake. Then on Friday a parcel arrived and inside were some Siroopwafelen. They are delicious syrup filed biscuits (they go very nicely with hot milky coffee). So, if anyone asks me now; I can say, hand on heart, that Rob at consultingtools is a man who keeps his promises.

The business of gift giving to candidates/clients/partners is a topic that's been talked about on our discussion board in the last few weeks. I also read an article a couple of month's ago about thanking your referrals with gifts (something I think that is absolutely worth the effort and cost). Finally, not that I'm obsessed with cookies, I will point you in the direction of Penelope Trunk's blog where she suggests you bake cupcakes for your colleagues.
