CV Database Meta Search Tool
Multiple Job Board posting tools (like the one from Broadbean) are well established. However, multiple CV database searching tools have been slower to enter the market. ARC Technologies have been developing such a tool and have now "soft released" their ‘Multi Searching Tool’ that allows recruiters to fill in one set of fields and search all of the CV databases that they are registered with.
I love the idea; one site where you can enter your candidate search criteria and find, sort, and review CVs from every CV database you are signed up for (they can also integrate it with your in-house database).
However, it’s not quite as simple as this. As with the multi job board tools the product can only search the databases that have agreed to be integrated. I’m sure that all those year’s ago when companies like Broadbean were starting out they must have faced problems getting the job boards to allow them to integrate. Now we see Broadbean (and others) actually charging the job boards for this integration.
ARC aren’t quite at that stage yet and, in order to “help things along a little” are offering an incentive to CV databases to sign up. Each CV database will receive £10 for each license sold to any ARC client that uses that particular site.
I would really like to see a product like this on the market so it was good news to hear that their earlier glitches have been ironed out. They are now getting geared up for full launch in the near future. I hope we see this take place with a full compliment of CV databases onboard.

Hi, Added a new value add to my blog this weekend - a news widget from www.widgetmate.com. I always wanted to show latest news for my keywords in my sidebar. It was very easy with this widget. Just a small copy paste and it was done. Great indeed.
