I've Joined the In Crowd on Facebook

I was chatting to a friend last night about social networking websites. He's in his early 30's but likes to think he's still early 20's (as evidenced by all his young, bouncy, female friends). He tells me that "Myspace is so 2006". It's not that I don't trust his opinion but I did a quick search this morning to find that, yes, myspace is soooo last year. Apparently Facebook is the place to be.
Which is lucky really, as I've just registered with the site. I'm now trying to assess it's potential as a serious recruitment tool, whilst working out how to manage the conflict between my business and personal persona. I know that Sarah Stimson, a recruiter at Indigo Red, uses Facebook for recruitment purposes so I am planning to grill her thoroughly on this. If she's not networking too hard I may be able to catch up with her at our recruitment networking event tonight.

Hey Louise, Sorry I didn't manage to catch up with you at the networking evening! Facebook is working well for us in terms of building profile in the industry - and turning up a few good candidates, and best of all, it's free to use!
