Monster request candidate feedback

Monster_applyI notice that Monster have added a new link to  each of their job adverts.  It reads "Didn't apply? Tell us why".  When a jobseeker clicks on it they are given a number of options to choose from including "Job location too far away", "No way to apply", "Salary is not provided or is out of my range" and "Job shown is a Work at Home position".  There is also a free text feedback box. I've not seen this on any other job boards (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) and I like the idea of this.  Monster are currently using the data to give feedback right away to the specific advertiser.  They have plans to collate the results into some articles/ guides that can be used for customers.

I had a quick word with Michelle Brown who is Monster's PR Manager.  They haven't yet started to pull the figures together - but after a bit of research she told me that currently the highest percentage is about 26% for "job location too far away".  They also get a fair few saying there is no way to apply.  Presently when a client's job goes live without an application method "Customer Central" is alerted to coordinate with the client to fix the ad.  However, they can't force advertisers to write decent adverts or to allow people the means to apply.

One of my favourite bits of feedback Michelle shared (disappointingly keeping the client anonymous) was "this is a crap description from an agency that should know better".  If I had 50p for every time I've seen a job ad and thought that myself...?!
