Are you e enough?

I spoke to a slightly hung-over Tim Elkington today (he'll thank me for sharing that level of detail!). Last night Enhance Media were celebrating the launch of their new project "How 'e' are you?" (which is surprisingly difficult to say). It's a research project that aims to track how people are using the internet. On the site you can complete an e-test that calculates your e-score out of 100. You are then told your e-group (from e-virgin to e-master). 8,000 people have already taken the test with an average score of 48.
I can't remember what my score was but I'm pleased to reveal that I'm an "e-expert".
There's a list on the site of the three online activities that the fewest people have done:
- used a bookmarking site, e.g. del.icio.us
- bought something for more than £1,000
- uploaded a video to YouTube
My lack of activity in these areas will be why I'm not classed as an e-master then.
Because Tim asked me (and I'm a soft touch) I've installed their widget on my blog. It's down the right hand side nearish the bottom. You can see the average score of everyone who's taken the test via this blog.
Finally one other great thing about the site is that for every completed survey they are giving 5p to Childnet - the charity that works to make the internet a safer place for children.
As the research continues I'll ask Tim if I can share some of things findings about the most commonly used websites.
Have you taken part in the UK Recruiter Community Survey 2007 yet?
