Recruiters Network Summer Social

Last Thursday was our Recruiters Network Summer Social. Unbelievably, considering current weather conditions, we didn't get rained on.  It was a really great event with Pimms, a bbq and DJ provided by our sponsors (Zubka and CV-Library). There was a good turnout on the night.  It was great to see loyal supporters including Stephen O'Donnell and Marc Jones, Tim Elkington (who seems to have managed to avoid being photographed), Mike Taylor, David Morgan and Lee Biggins (second from left in the photo). There was also a bit of a recruitment industry bloggers convention as joining me, Tim and Mike were Dom Sumners, Lisette Howlett and Colin Minto (on the right in this photo with David Shieldhouse). Plus I found out that Holly from Zubka writes on their blog. As usual with these events I met a whole new group of really great contacts from the industry. We're in the final stages or sorting out  details for the next event which is planned for the end of September or early October. We've put together a mini survey to get some feedback on the summer event and collect ideas for the next one. You can contribute your thoughts here.

I also want to say an "official" thank you to Broadbean who are my co-hosts for the events. Tarah and Ricky (on the right in the photo) worked really hard in the run up to the event as well as on the night.  Dan turned up a mere hour late - but is easily forgiven.   We all got to let our hair down (especially Tarah) as the evening wore on.   Luckily for some, most of the photographic evidence never made it onto the website!
