Recruitment Blogs from the USA
As it's American Independence Day I thought I'd share details of the some of the US blogs I read.
Jim Stroud.com. This is probably one of the first non UK recruitment blogs I came across and it's still a personal favourite. Jim is a "Searchologist" with an expertise in the full life-cycle placement of Executive and Technical personnel, Recruitment Research and Competitive Intelligence. He is one of the most prolific bloggers I know; sometimes writing 6 blog posts a day on an enormous range of recruitment topics.
JibberJobber. This blog is written by Jason Alba who is the founder of JibberJobber. He has written one blog post every working day for the last 12 months. His posts are really well written and despite many being about his own site I find at least a couple each week that would be worth anyone in recruitment reading.
Cheezhead. Joel Cheesman's frequently controversial and very interesting blog about HR, Internet recruiting, Search Engine Optimisation, marketing, jobs and technology. The other interesting thing about the Cheezhead blog is that it actually makes money.
Jobster. This used to contain primarily posts by Jason Goldberg, CEO of Jobster. It's now more of a team effort and Jason isn't as controversial as he used to be (which I miss!). I dip into the blog a couple of times a week.
Other sites I'd recommend a look at are The Chad, Six Degrees From Dave and The Brazen Careerist.
There are lots more recruitment related US blogs and to keep track of these I use the following "directory" sites: Recruiting.com, The Day in Recruitment and RecruitingBlogs.com. By the way, whilst I'm talking about blog directories, don't forget the fabulously useful UK Recruitment Blogs page!
If you think I've missed a crucial US recruitment blog please add a comment below.
Thanks for the mention. I appreciate it
