Time for a Siesta?

Siesta Everywhere I look this week I've seen a press release from Peninsula Business Services about a survey they've conducted.

A survey of 1297 workers in the UK has shown that 87% believe that they should be allowed an extra hour off work to have a siesta. 78% of bosses consider siestas to have a negative effect on workplace productivity.

So nearly 9 in 10 people want an extra hour off work each day... and nearly 8 out of 10 bosses are not so keen.  That's typical, thoses bosses ruining all our fun!

In a similar survey in 2004 Peninsula found that "Nearly two-thirds (64%) said they would be in favour of a two-hour lunch break to enable them to get some sleep" and in 2005 "nine out of ten workers yearn for an afternoon nap with 81% putting their tiredness down to ‘over work".

I can't find the survey from 2006 - perhaps I'll feel up to the task if I just have a quick kip under my desk!
