I've come back to Job Board City in the news

Isn't it lovely when you go on holiday and return to hundreds of emails.  Only takes a few days to get through them all!

I've just got back and whilst away my biggest work worry was that I'd miss something really exciting.  I especially thought this when I switched on my PC to see that there had been over 80 posts on our discussion board whilst I was off. Luckily fabulous Felicity has been moderating in my absence so nothing untoward kicked off. 

The job boards got their usual share of the attention.  A thread on "Monster & Ads" got 26 posts whilst one, started a month ago, on "jobboards" is up to 47 posts.

On that note I returned to a call from the lovely Cheryl at Jobsite informing me of their partnership with FriendsReunitedJobs.co.uk.  The key points of the press release are:

To get back into the swing of things I've also been checking out the latest blog posts on our UK Recruitment Blogs feed (I always look at Tim's first so was disappointed to see all he's posted is one entitled "busy" - well I guess that sums it up).  I've also sneaked a peek at my latest "experiment" facebook. I've joined every recruitment related group going (my favourite has to be "recruitment consultants - we're not all w**kers, you know.") and have even created an "event" page for the September networking event.

...which is a neat link to something else I wanted to mention.  We've got 170 people registered for the September networking event so far.  If you want to come along on the 27th you can register on the site or read more about it here.

Finally, I wanted to mention a great internet cafe I used on holiday.  It's the Tubestation in Polzeath (rather giving away my destination as Cornwall rather than Barbados!) - everyone was ultra helpful and you can't fault the views over the beach.
