It's not that depressing working in the UK!

AustralianThis is the sort of thing I'd expect Guru to report on.  However, I spotted it first and I could certainly do with a smile on this wet autumnal day!  This is taken from an article on the Australian News.com.au website which is talking about how 25% of UK workers take an extra, unscheduled, "buffer" day at the end of their holiday.

The article suggests this is because "It's dark and rainy for the most of the time in the UK, and a holiday to another country is a huge highlight. In Australia we have the weather and the beaches, and our lifestyle is so much better."

At the end there are a couple of "comments".  Cheeky Glenn from Adelaide says "think i'd be taking more than 1 buffer day after an holiday in the UK if i had to go back and live there, they deseve it for putting up with life in the UK. It's a depressing place to live"

What's wrong with 14 hour days, getting up and coming home in the dark, a maximum of three weeks of sunshine a year and EastEnders on nearly every night.

Actually, come to think of it Glenn could have a point!

Australia is entirely filled with vast poisonous spiders and they are running out of water. Not that much fun is it?
