National Online Recruitment Awards Roadshow and Dinner

Last week Stephen O'Donnell did the "NORA roadshow". He went to each company who'd won an award to give them their trophy. He's done a little photo montage of the "ceremonies". You'll see some of the companies got the whole team out to accept the award. Apparently he somehow went home with a WPC's helmet from West Mids Police!
He also organised a get together for the judges on Thursday night. Unfortunately not everyone could make it but I think those of us who were there (Dan McGuire, Don McIntosh, Tom Atkinson, Isabel Kay, Stephen and me) had a great evening (I certainly did!). There was some discussion about the judging methods behind the awards, partly kicked off by comments on the Digital Recruiting Blog. One idea that was tabled was that each judge, as well as giving scores for each nominated site, should choose one specific site as a winner in each category and write a couple of lines to explain why. This will allow the winning sites to get some feedback on what impressed the judges.
The real highlight of the evening for me was persuading Stephen to let me take home the "spare" NORA award. It now has pride of place on my desk!
