Take a look at Muckety

MucketyMy friend, and ex Recruitment Researcher, Cam Woodhouse, has pointed me in the direction of the website www.muckety.com

It's a news and information site based on online databases (plus research and "old fashioned journalism") that graphically represents (by funky maps) how people/events/companies are linked.  It's a bit like a vertical search engine. For example if you put in Steven Jobs (CEO of Apple) it shows you a few things that he is linked to (companies he is director of, apartment buildings he owns!), then if you click on Apple it brings up a number of executives who work there.  So it could be useful in search if you wanted to know how to get to someone or wanted to do more research on a topic.

As Cam says it's a bit surreal, but its fun to play with... and it might help you understand your clients' activities better.
