Too much information on Facebook?

Facebook_updatesI logged onto Facebook last night and had to smile at two of the status updates I saw.  The first and third comments in the image to the left are from "work" friends rather than "friend" friends.  The personal nature (and un-pc'ness) made me feel like I was overhearing a conversation not really meant for my ears.  This is exactly why I don't use status updates myself.

With regard to the example below how many people would think this isn't just too much information but a step too far.  Facebook_update_2
