I tried really hard to squeeze this in before we were into May - sorry not sure what happened!
Agency Central produce an Employment Index which gathers data from a range of employment source (the index is based on statistics, specifically relating to the Recruitment Agency Marketplace, compiled from the companies using the website and tracks the employment market activity across a variety of variables).
The index (see the chart above) showed the expected seasonal shift in early 2010 due to the increased volume of candidates looking for new employment in the early months. This has got to demonstrate a healthy positivity and confidence in the market and employment prospects from candidates. In fact, in January 2010, the chart shows 29% more candidates than November 2009 and 103% more candidates than December 2009. You can view the chart for 2009 on my January post about the index.
