I'd been seeing a lot of chatter about the Social Collective 2010 . I knew that Simon Lewis (of onlymarketingjobs) was involved and kept meaning to ask him what it was all about. So here it is...
It's organised by Barry Furby, Simon, Beth Carroll and Felix Hemsley (Beth and Felix are not in recruitment).
It's designed to be the forward thinking social media conference. It's not recruitment focussed (but can be relevant to recruiters). It's going to be of interest to anyone looking to getting more involved in and/or learn the mechanics of social media.
It's a full day conference (9am to 5pm) with speakers and ends with panel debate (the focus of which could well be determine by delegates on the day) and then there is a "social" element. The main event takes place at the British Museum and the networking event is at The Grange Hotel (which is very swanky).
Registrations options are
a) conference & networking
b) networking party
The full day costs £250 + VAT but there is an early bird discount which is £125 + VAT - but that runs out end of June. Tickets for the networking only are available now at £40 + VAT
If you look at the site you'll see the logos for the organiser's companies but they also have Mashable & CisionUK onboard.
The event is 30th September - which is actually quite a way off but there is quite of chat about it (the hashtag is #socol).
Check it out and hopefully see you there.
