Today sees the launch of The Marketing & Advertising Recruitment Awards (MARAs).
The MARAs are open to any external recruitment agency operating within the marketing, advertising, communications & PR and media spaces
The awards have been established to recognise recruitment agencies that have best confronted the need for change and now, as the UK exits recession, act as beacons for a better future in a new era.
They are run by OnlyMarketingJobs but in order to keep impartiality they aren't involved in the judging (you can view the lovely judges here!)
Nominations are open from today until the 6th August. The way it works is that recruitment agencies nominate their own business for specific award categories. As a nice touch you can view them as they get added onto the site
From the 9th August to 3rd September the "marketing community" (candidates and clients) nominate their choices within each category.
The next stage is that on the 13th September the category finalists are announced.
Judging takes place in late September through to October and then on the 25th November theawards evening takes place.
Simon Lewis of OnlyMarketingJobs is very passionate about his sector of the recruitment industry and I think it's great that he is hosting an event like this. I can safely say that he's taken every precaution to ensure it's impartial from his other business interests.
So, if you operate in the marketing recruitment space - go on nominate yourself!
